This is a short version of the Soulis terms of use and privacy policy. The full documents are being prepared and will replace this page; changes will be announced here.
Soulis is developed and provided by an independent developer, a private individual. You can reach them at soulis.hello@gmail.com.
Terms of use
By using Soulis, you agree to these terms. Soulis is an app for tasks, events, habits and notes.
- Use Soulis lawfully. Do not try to access other people's accounts, disrupt the service or flood it with automated requests.
- You are responsible for the content you keep in Soulis and share in shared workspaces.
- Soulis is provided “as is”. We work to keep the service stable and your data safe, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. We recommend saving a copy of your data from time to time: Settings → Data → Backup → Export data.
- We may change these terms. The new version is published on this page with its update date.
Privacy
Without an account
All data stays on your device. Local network sync, if you turn it on, sends data directly between your devices on the same network, without our server.
With an account
To sync your data across devices and give access to shared workspaces, we store on our server:
- your email, name and password — the password only as a hash; we never know the password itself;
- what you create in the app: tasks, events, notes, tags, workspaces and images;
- service data: sign-in and last activity times, and the identifiers of the devices changes were made from.
The server is located in Russia (Moscow). The app talks to it over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
All members of a shared workspace can see its content. When you invite someone by email, you give us their address: an unanswered invite is deleted after 14 days, an accepted one 30 days after acceptance.
Our servers (app and website) keep technical logs: IP address, the requested address and the result. Only a limited volume of recent entries is kept; older ones are deleted automatically. Emails are not written to the logs.
What we don't do
- No analytics, ads or trackers — neither in the app nor on the website.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except where the law explicitly requires it.
- We use your data only to run Soulis.
If you email us at soulis.hello@gmail.com, the message is handled by Google's email service (Gmail), whose servers may be outside Russia. Don't include anything you wouldn't want that service to process.
Notifications are created by the app itself on your device. The website uses no cookies; the browser stores only your language choice.
Deleting your data
- Your account is deleted in the app: Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate: the account, every workspace you own (shared ones included, for all their members) and their images. Entries you created in other people's workspaces stay with their members, without an author.
- Deleted entries and workspaces are permanently erased from the server within 30 days.
- Data on your device stays until you sign out, delete the account on that device or remove the app.
- If you cannot access the app, write to soulis.hello@gmail.com from the address your account is registered with.
Your rights
You can find out what data of yours we hold, correct or delete it, and withdraw your consent to its processing. Write to soulis.hello@gmail.com — we reply within 10 working days.
